The FAA requires all drones that operate in United States airspace to be registered, except those that weigh 0.55 pounds or less (less than 250 grams).
To register your drone, go to FAA Drone Zone (Link: https://faadronezone.faa.gov/)
We recommend that you print your FAA registration number and stick it to the body of the aircraft.
The FAA requires all drones operating in United States airspace to be compliant with the remote ID rules by the September 16, 2023 deadline.
To register your X55 Remote ID Serial Number:
Login or create an account with the FAA Drone Zone
Launch the Drone Owners and Pilot Dashboard
Navigate to your Part 107 Dashboard
Select Manage Device Inventory
Select Add Device
Insert the following information
UAS Type (Standard Remote ID)
Nickname (Arcsky X55)
UAS Manufacturer (Arcsky)
UAS Model (X55)
Remote ID Serial number (1924A01XXXXXXXX)
Sometimes, users might experience difficulty arming the drone due to the pre-arm check enforced by the firmware to comply with remote ID rules. These are the recommended steps to power up your system.
Power on the Herelink Controller
Go to Remote ID tab (accessed via the radio settings menu)
Power on the X55 and wait for it to initialize
Wait until this icon turns green (it may take a minute or two until both the X55 and the Herelink have GPS connections)
Open the QGC app
Make sure there are no errors related to ODID
The System is ready to arm
If the system is still giving ODID pre-arm warnings, go back to the remote ID tab and wait until the icon turns green. If the system is still not allowing you to arm, power cycle the X55 and Herelink and repeat the process again.
