Charging Flight Batteries
This section will walk you through the process of charging your batteries. The X55 supports a variety of different battery configurations. Please reach out to info@arcskytech.com if your battery/charger is not represented in this section.
Standard Flight Battery (Tattu 12s 16000mah pack)
Plug the AS150 to XT90 adapter cable into the charger AS150 port.
Plug the battery XT90 connector into the XT90 port of the adapter cable.
Plug the balance cable into the balance port of the battery - it only fits in one orientation.
Power on the charger.
Set the charge mode to Normal.
The charger should automatically go into charging mode. If not, press and hold the Charge button until the Charge LED turns red.
The battery is now charging, and you should see the voltage of each cell on the LED display screen.
The Charge LED will turn green when charging is completed.
Power off the charger and unplug the battery from the charger.
12S HV Li-ion Flight Battery
Please pay close attention to the mode setting, and only use the LiHV 4.45 setting for High Voltage Li-ion batteries. Incorrect battery charging voltage could damage the battery and potentially cause a fire.
Plug the battery into the XT90 connector port on the charger.
Plug the balance cable into the balance board.
Turn on the charger.
Make sure the charger is set to the LiHV 4.45 mode.
We recommend charging the battery at 1C. For example, if you have a 16000mah LiHV battery, you can charge at 15A. But oftentimes, the charge current rate is limited by the maximum power output of the charger.
Press and hold the Start/Stop button until the LED turns red. The battery is now charging, and you should see the voltage of each cell on the LED display.
The Start/Stop button LED will turn green when the charging is completed.
Turn off the charger and remove the battery from the charger.
