# Failsafe

## Radio Failsafe

The X55 supports several configurable failsafe options in cases where contact between the Pilot’s remote controller and the receiver is lost. By default, the X55 will automatically enter RTL mode.

## Ground Control Station (GCS) Failsafe

GCS failsafe controls how the X55 will behave if contact with the GCS is lost. By default, the GCS failsafe is disabled. The pilot can configure the failsafe parameter to switch the X55 to RTL mode in the event the GCS signal is lost.

{% hint style="info" %}
In some cases, the pilot might want to continue with a mission in Auto Mode, in this scenario, the X55 can be configured to ignore the failsafe only in the Auto Mode mission. (See FS\_OPTIONS in Advanced Section)
{% endhint %}

## Battery Failsafe

If the voltage drops below the Low Voltage Threshold, the X55 will execute RTL. The pilot should retake control of the X55 and land it as soon as possible, as this does not account for whether the X55 has enough battery to fly back to the takeoff location. If the voltage drops below the Critical Voltage Threshold, the X55 will switch to Land Mode.

{% hint style="danger" %}
By default, the low voltage threshold is set to 43.8V, and the critical voltage threshold is set to 43.5V. The pilot can adjust the low/critical voltage threshold and actions. The pilot must have a full understanding of the parameters and actions.
{% endhint %}
