Hardware Setup

The items will ship separately and in their original packaging for safety. Follow these steps to set up the ILX-LR1 on the X55.

  • Gather the X55, payload case, and the additional items provided with the kit.

  • Open the payload case, and if the mounting plate is not already installed, mount it to the X55 rails

  • Install the electrical connectors between the X55 and the mounting plate (if not already installed)

  • Make sure you have a storage card in the camera with enough space

  • Remove the lens cap from the camera

  • Install a Power Module to the X55 (Battery Module shown here), so that you will be able to power up the X55 during configuration when needed.

  • Hardware setup completed.
