Pre-flight Checklist

Inspect landing gear and each boom	Verify
Landing gear secured and safety pin installed	Secure
All four arm knobs fully threaded and latched	Secure
Inspect all four propellers	Verify
Inspect all four motors	Verify
Inspect Hybrid Module mounting. Make sure everything is secure and latched	Verify & Secure
Add desired fuel to the Hybrid Module	Fill Tank
Bleed air from fuel lines (if necessary)	Bleed Procedure
If carrying a payload, make sure it is secure and the CG is as close to the center of the X55 as possible	Secure & Verify
Inspect the antenna, GPS, and other electronics, make sure they are secure	Verify
Turn on the radio controller	Power On
Plug in the main power cable between the Hybrid Module and the X55	Plug In
Verify the Charge Bypass Switch is in the down position (off)	Verify
Plug in the On/Off Key to the Hybrid Module	Plug In
Allow the X55 to initialize for 15 seconds	Wait
Move the Charge Bypass Switch to the middle position (on)	Toggle Switch
Start the engine with the starter	Start
Allow the engine to idle for at least 1 minute - make sure there are no leaks	Wait and Verify
Check the fuel level of the Hybrid Module reported on the GCS - compare with actual level	Verify
Check system voltage (>= 49V) - charge the batteries (Charge Bypass Switch) if not	Verify/Charge
Check the radio controller battery level	Verify
Check GCS antenna and battery level	Verify
Check that the engine is running smoothly	Verify
Check failsafe settings for correctness	Verify
Check radio controller button and switches	Verify
Verify no flight warnings and good GPS fix	Verify
Propellers clear to spin	Verify
Press and hold the arm switch for 2 seconds	Arming

Pre-mission Checklist

Arm the system and takeoff, but stay 1-2 meters above the ground	Takeoff
Check small roll, pitch, and yaw movements for proper response	Verify
Allow the system to hover for at least 30 seconds	Wait
Check GCS data for: Current <= 52A Voltage >= 49V Fuel percentage matches the tank level No errors or warnings are active	Verify

Post-flight Checklist
