High Level Workflow

If you buy the P3 package through Arcsky, you will have everything you need to get right to work with the P3 payload and start capturing images. The X55 will already be pre-configured and set up to control the P3 payload, so no additional configuration will be needed. The high level steps needed to go from having everything in the cases to fully set up is outlined below.

  1. Set up the X55 and either the Battery Module or the Hybrid Module. See the X55 Setup Guide and the Hybrid Module Setup Guide for specific details about this.

  2. Install the P3 payload to the X55 rails, and connect the power and signal cables between the P3 and the X55.

  3. Power up the controller and the X55 - the P3 will automatically power up with the X55 and do a self-calibration routine.

  4. Plan and load your mission (if doing an automated flight) via your mission planning software of choice (QGC, Mission Planner, UgCS).

  5. Take off and run your mission (either automated flight or manual flight).

  6. Images will be captured automatically in the case of an automated flight, or manually in the case of a manual flight.

  7. Land the aircraft and power everything down.

  8. Remove the storage media from the camera and copy your images to your computer.

  9. Load the images into your post-processing software of choice.

  10. Process the imagery and enjoy the high-resolution details and accurate results.
